Following a successful launch of the BUC platform of research collaboration, the Pro-Vice Chancellor for Internationalisation, Professor Colin Grant, has awarded a renewal of the inital BUC start-up grant. This time, the value of the award has been increased to GBP 15,000 and will contribute towards BUC 6 - 10 events in collaboration with the Mexican institutions of Universidad Autónoma de México (UNAM) and Centro de Investigación en Matemáticas (CIMAT). Plans are already underway to develop BUC meetings under the remit of the new funding with general headings of:
- "Applied Analysis of Operators, PDE and Functionals"
- “Continuum Modelling and Computation from Biology to Mechanics”
- "Big data analytics in the power industry”
- "Mathematics: new connections".
